Exclusive Video: M. Ward: "Medley: Rag/ Duet for Guitars #3"

Singer/songwriter M. Ward arrived in Chicago on Monday to headline a sold-out show at the city's Park West venue, as part of a brief North American tour supporting his new five-song EP, To Go Home. Just a few hours before the show, we caught up with the Merge Records troubador in the world's bleakest dressing room, where he offered to play us a tune-- a medley, in fact, of his instrumentals "Rag" (the closing track on last year's 'Fork-recommended Post-War LP) and "Duet for Guitars #3" (off 2003's still fantastic Transfiguration of Vincent). The tour wraps up this weekend with two shows at San Francisco's Bimbo's 365. After that, he's off the road until April, when he kicks off a month-long North American stint opening for (holy smokes!) Norah Jones. [Footage by Tyler Grisham]
