Video: Grizzly Bear: "Knife"
Things keep on sinking in this video-- a huge, meat-processing machine gets sucked into the desert, jewels sink into the protagonists' chest, even Grizzly Bear (who take a back seat in this clip) slowly disappear into quicksand. It's all appropriate imagery for this watery, slow-melting single. The special effects in this video are pretty impressive (looks like a combination of stop-motion and CGI at work here), and while an increase in budget doesn't always (read: rarely) means an increase in quality, here it renders a pretty stunning, if puzzling, video for Grizzy Bear. The video was directed by Encyclopedia Pictura's Isaiah Saxon and Sean Hellfritsch. [Via Stereogum]
