Video: Marnie Stern: "Every Single Line Means Something" [iPod]

After months in heavy rotation on the Pitchfork HQ stereo, guitar prodigy Marnie Stern's Kill Rock Stars debut, In Advance of the Broken Arm, makes its way into the world at large today. And not coincidentally, KRS is celebrating the release by also debuting the video for Stern's massive first single, "Every Single Line Means Something".

With a woman as attractive as Marnie Stern, obviously the thing you want to see is a big, long close up of her hands-- and of course, any musician known for his/her playing needs to provide some visual proof in their video. Stern's has plenty of shots of her playing the guitar, cut with scenes of fire, clouds and waterfalls. It is more Hessian than we expected, but that's a good thing.
