Director Eric David Johnson must be crazily busy, having recently directed videos for M. Ward and Chin Up and Chin Up, in addition to this new clip for Cursive's "Big Bang". Unlike his other recent videos, this one has minimal animation-- although the real live humans do take on cartoonish expressions. It's a pretty terrible premise: Each person sits directly in front of the camera until something happens that causes them to flinch or jump in surprise, which is then synced with the music's horn stabs and power chords. Great! We quit.
