Video: Lady Sovereign: "Those Were the Days"

Looks like the S-O-V blew pretty much her entire video budget on "Love Me or Hate Me": "Those Were the Days" has exactly none of the flash that made her last so addictively watchable (um, on mute, see). The track itself is a nostalgic low-key throwback in which Sov recalls her rough upbringing in London-- so basically a banal knockoff of "Juicy" or a billion other "remember when"-style hip-hop tracks-- but it's weird, because while she reflects on riding around in shopping cards, tagging sidewalks, and getting chased down by pitbulls, the video implies she spent her days then as she does now: hanging out in discount-store photo booths getting all amped about how awesome she looks in huge sunglasses.
