WTF: Animal Collective: Crayola commercial

Finding unexpected music/commercial pairings is a weird kind of conflicted entertainment: You respect the band's financial decision, in the era of waning CD sales, to license their music, but in rare instances it can also permanently alter your connection with the song. However, this new commercial-- in which Crayola's Color Explosion marker matches wits with Animal Collective's "Sweet Road" (from Sung Tongs)-- is pretty innocuous, and actually makes some sense. As soon as the kids start talking about all the colors that must be in the markers, and how there are just so many colors, it seems like they're speaking Animal Collective's language. Plus, what kinda jerk thinks back on kids coloring and gets all pissy? (Thanks to reader Matthew Thomas for the tip.)
