Video: Sly & the Family Stone: various performances [live footage]

Tomorrow, Epic/Legacy releases reissues of all seven Sly & the Family Stone LPs-- each of which originally came out between 1967 and 1974. But Sly & the Family Stone were icons for a few reasons besides their music-- not least of which was Stone's multiracial backing band. Though Stone's drug use has derailed his band's attempts at a full reunion (and caused one bizarre performance at the 2006 Grammy Awards), there's lots of video online to document their career.
