Video: Deerhunter: "Spring Hall Convert" / "Hazel St."
Deerhunter's Bradford Cox was always an imposing figure, but somehow the singer is less so in this live footage of the band, playing April 4 at Chicago's Empty Bottle. Maybe it's because Cox wears a flowery women's sun dress and stands barefoot on the stage in this well-shot video from production company Analog Monkey. Cameras are placed in front and behind the stage, and also in the back of the crowd, where Cox can still be seen clearly. The band play "Spring Hall Convert" which kicks off the second half of Cryptograms, and "Hazel St.", also from Cryptograms.
