The first video from Plague Park, the forthcoming Sub Pop debut by Handsome Furs, is sleekly menacing, with dark, almost hallucinatory images that perfectly match the eerie elegance of the repetitive, spare track. In the Lynchian clip, the band-- Wolf Parade's Dan Boeckner and his fiancée Alexei Perry-- stars as doomed dinner guests. They look fabulously bored and exhausted (check out Alexei's red carpet-worthy dress!) as they are summoned by a sinister bald man to a party, where they are subsequently bound and marched to their doom. Perry musters just one perfect tear at the end. We knew that Boeckner and Perry were great musicians-- here they've turned Sunn O)))-like drone into a woeful pop stomper-- but who knew they could act?
