Video: The Shins: "Australia"
We love a band in matching jumpsuits. Here the band don prison uniforms, steal balloons from a used car dealership, and set the aloft in a field. Lead singer James Mercer holds a cigar in his mouth as he watches the balloons-- which are the same shade of orange as the jumpsuits-- float to freedom.
The video was directed by Matt McCormick, who has also worked with Sleater-Kinney.
