Video: Lavender Diamond: "Open Your Heart"
In Lavender Diamond's video for "Open Your Heart", lead Diamond Becky Stark skates down a suburban L.A. street while holding an egg in her hand. She's not a graceful skater, and she jerks awkwardly while trying to keep her eyes to the camera. But this awkwardness seems to be the point: If "Open Your Heart" is about wearing said heart on your sleeve, then the egg is an apt metaphor and throughout the video it remains fragile and precarious.

Like pretty much any video worth watching these days, "Open Your Heart" has a closing dance sequence that morphs into spontaneous dancing in the street. Spoiler alert: The egg cracks and breaks at the end, but in the best possible way.
