If you've seen Lil Mama's "Lip Gloss" video, you know the 17-year-old Brooklyn rapper can spit hard to just a handclap and two locker thumps. "No music," she even brags. On this clever mash-up, the gang from the Hood Internet flesh out Mama's spare stomp with pretty much its exact musical inverse, the ultra-virtuosic guitar tapping of fellow New York dweller Marnie Stern's breakneck "Absorb Those Numbers", from this year's Yngwie-tastic In Advance of the Broken Arm (Kill Rock Stars).

A triumphal Stern guitar flourish repeats over Mama's "poppin'" hook, while a more melodic snippet plays over the whip-smart, Beyonce-referencing verses. Sure, there might not be much more to this mash-up than this unexpected juxtaposition of beats and baroque. But I'll be pleasantly surprised if Mama's producers-- including the likes of Swizz Beatz-- can come up with anything crazier for her forthcoming album. (Dudes, it would totally only be an hour subway ride to get Stern out to East New York for rehearsals!)
