New Music: Matt and Kim: "Yea Yeah (Flosstradamus Remix)" [Stream]
In the video for "Yea Yeah", from Matt and Kim's self-titled debut released late last year, the perky Brooklyn couple get pelted with enough crud for a "Double Dare" episode, but come out clean and smiley as ever. On this remix, Chicago DJ duo Flosstradamus replace Matt's simple Casio keyboard plonks and Kim's for-beginners drumming with full-fledged, four-on-the-floor Venga Boys boom booms, supersizing the original's lo-fi electropunk into fizzy Eurodance for the megaclubs. Matt's breathless vocal, though, emerges relatively untouched. And the couple's giddy, love-'em-or-hate-'em enthusiasm? Yeah, yeah. That, too.
