The next big thing in UK rock? Actual teenagers. First Arctic Monkeys, now Cajun Dance Party; next up, probably Bombay Bicycle Club. We reviewed London quintet Cajun Dance Party's straightforward indie-dance single "The Next Untouchable" way back in our pre-Forkcast days, and...They were teenagers then, too! Now, the song's video is as no-frills as its Libertines- and Arctics-informed riffs, interspersing plenty of on-stage footage with A Hard Day's Night-esque black-and-white clips of the 16- and 17-year-olds backstage mugging for the camera. There's a girl in the front row who knows all the lyrics, proudly counting out lines like "one and one and one makes three" on her fingers. She might have to learn new sign language when the next kids come to town, but for now, even Heath Ledger circa 10 Things I Hate About You would kill to have singer Danny Blumberg's curly, lustrous locks. (The secret is "repeat.")
