Video: Air: "Mer du Japon"
Someone trying to describe Air's music could do worse than compare it to the elegance of ballet with the retro-kitsch of a giant fish tank. Directed by Guillaume de la Perrier, the video for new single "Mer du Japon" depicts just that. The song is one of the French duo's more upbeat, pop-oriented tracks and the highlight of this year's Pocket Symphony.

Ghostly images of Air's Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel hover in the background as the video focuses on the sinuous moves of two dancers, choreographed by previous Air associate Angelin Preljocaj. A giant sea dragon starts to wind around the two in their underwater milieu, setting the stage for...a super-passionate kiss. Godin's bass beats back the current, while Dunckel's piano gleams. Sexy, boys.
