Video: Klaxons: "It's Not Over Yet"
Are Klaxons new rave? Is "new rave" new rave? The standard-bearers for the latest NME genre may sound more like a fine British guitar band than late-80s ravers, but that doesn't mean they don't actually, well, listen to rave. The newest single from debut Myths of the Near Future is the band's cover of Grace's "Not Over Yet", dropping June 25 in the UK. A video for the track is already here, produced by Saam, who has made videos for Simian Mobile Disco and New Young Pony Club in addition to several previous Klaxons clips.
This video shows the band as sword-wielding warriors battling flying pyramids in what looks like an ultramodern, glass-ceilinged handball court. Sure, Klaxons remember to put on their football-player eye black, but somehow the precious crystals they're apparently fighting to protect still sort of...explode. New rave? A pointless debate, really, but like the hook says, it's not over yet.
