"Rotten Hell"

Video: Menomena: "Rotten Hell"

The men of Menomena want your tots. The video for the Portland indie-rockers' "Rotten Hell" starts out with a bunch of white-uniformed kids chowing down on their school lunches. Alas, one of the otherwise-upstanding young scholars has apparently endorsed the doctrine of pre-emptive food fighting. Pretty soon, all the boys and girls are engaged in full-scale, slow-motion cafeteria combat, hurling whatever food-like objects are at hand without a care whose skirt they might stain. Finally, the video's first-time directors War & Julius leave us with a view of all the children piled up on the floor, covered in their own food-filth, unconscious if not dead.

Gee, and I always thought "Rotten Hell" was a political song. Like the video for Menomena's "Wet and Rusting", this clip is debuting on MTV's Subterranean blog.
