Video: Beirut: "Knife" (Grizzly Bear cover) [live]
Beirut's Balkan-accented indie pop and Grizzly Bear's atmospheric psych-folk keep drawing closer and closer. Earlier this month, Grizzly Bear called Beirut on-stage to help out with a performance of "On a Neck, on a Spit" at Barcelona's Primavera Sound Festival. In this new clip from the folks at La Blogothèque, Beirut's Zach Condon caps a drunken evening with a serenade to fellow New Yorkers Edward Droste & co.: a cover of Grizzly Bear's own song of painful deceit, "Knife". This is not, however, one of La Blogothèque's "Take Away Shows". The site promises a full show at a later date. With toy piano, even. Thanks to Stereogum.
