Video: Smashing Pumpkins: "I Don't Mind" (new song, live)

Smashing Pumpkins were always more than just "Zero". The reunited band's new single "Tarantula", from the forthcoming Zeitgeist, doesn't go much beyond this wall-of-guitars stoner-metal aspect of the group. But during a recent show during Smashing Pumpkins' nine-date residency at the Orange Peel in Asheville, N.C., Billy Corgan showed his sensitive side on a just-written ballad tentatively titled "I Don't Mind".

Over "Disarm"-ing acoustic guitar strums, Corgan repeats, "If all goes wrong with me/ Will you leave?" This is the fragile, easily heartbroken Corgan, not the raging rat in a cage. And while the video leaves a lot to the imagination, the audio is clear. Thanks to Brian Showalter for the tip and the photo.
