Matt and Kim have had close encounters with haute cuisine before. The Brooklyn duo's Matt Johnson tells Internet show "Dinner With the Band" about the video for their "Yea Yeah", which involved fans pelting the band with food. "It was really fun for about three minutes," Johnson recalls, but describes the ensuing mixture of "pickle brine and whipped cream" in his hair as "the grossest smell I've ever smelt in my life." Nobody hurls tomatoes (or pickle brine) during this live performance, as Johnson and drummer Kim Schifino smile their way through the perky tune. If their grins seem even a little bigger than in the video, Johnson offers a reason: "I think I'm gonna need another beer, that made me play way better."
