We already showed you Beirut's Zach Condon and Romani brass band Kočani Orkestar playing the latter's "Siki, Siki Baba" in Paris for La Blogothèque. Now we can show you the two together again on that song and Beirut's new "Sunday Smile", from forthcoming sophomore album The Flying Club Cup. And, without even brushing up on our (extremely) limited French, we can tell you the reason the two artists joined forces was La Blogothèque's first Soirée à Emporter, an outdoor event staged on July 30 and "designed like a giant Take Away Show." Condon's Balkan co-conspirators sway back and forth haphazardly, as the crowd leans in attentively toward the New Mexico-born singer. Then comes "Siki, Siki Baba", and it's an even more unreal scene. Kinda like a giant Take Away Show.
