As we reported yesterday, venerated indie elders Yo La Tengo are embarking on what they're calling the Freewheeling Tour, revisiting songs from across their catalogue in a stripped-down format designed for intimate spaces. "A little bit Storytellers, a little bit Unplugged" is how the label is billing it, and it promises to be a treat for those who admire YLT's songwriting above their balls-out jams. Expect I Am Not Afraid of You's "I Feel Like Going Home", one of the band's better ballads and a relaxed highlight of recent tours, to figure prominently. This version, recorded at a session for Minnesota public radio station KCMP in October of last year, gives an idea of what to expect.
