Here we have a double-dose of LCD Soundsystem. First, the new video for the godlike "Someone Great", initially heard in instrumental form late last year as the hypnotic highlight of the 45'33" set. To me, it sounded then like a song that could never be improved with vocals, but when Sound of Silver came out in March, that assumption proved false. The "Someone Great" single, with remixes and other goodies, is due in October.

Then we have the Soulwax remix of "Get Innocuous", Sound of Silver's opening track, taken from the A Bunch of Stuff EP, which hit stores this week. The Belgian producers take the jagged original and apply a sawtooth file to the prickly edges, stretching it out for an additional three minutes but keeping things interesting all the way.
