"Crossing Line"

Video: The Sea and Cake: "Crossing Line"

Two days ago we posted the video for the Sea and Cake's "Coconut". I mentioned then that it was my second favorite track on Everybody after "Crossing Line". I guess the Chicago post-rock/pop outfit and I are on the same page, because here is the video for my personal no. 1. Like the last clip, it was directed by the mysteriously named Lung, but it's a 180-degree shift from the former's dense, 8-bit digital videoscape. "Crossing Line" is simply one long shot of the sky outside a moving car-- an image airy and bright like the band's music at its best-- with helpful subtitles so you can sing along with Sam Prekop. Come on, you know you want to, at least the "ooh ooh yeah" parts. Its no-budget format explains why a modest little band such as this one can crank out two videos in one week. No complaints here.
