"Teardrop" (Live on "The Interface")

Video: José González: "Teardrop" (Live on "The Interface")

José González's cover of Massive Attack's "Teardrop" doesn't stand out from the rest of his new album In Our Nature the way his reworking of the Knife's "Heartbeats" did on debut Veneer. It's still a harrowing rendition, though, and he recently brought his nylon-string guitar onto Spinner's "The Interface" to show how it's done. After his recent "Take Away Show" appearances, it's a lot less magical seeing González in just an antiseptic studio, but that contrast only makes his rumbling finger-picking sound that much more impressive. He also performs original songs "Crosses", "Down the Line", and "How Low", though it looks like you have to download the podcast to check them out.
