Video: Holy Fuck: "Milkshake"

No, it's not a Kelis cover, and the previously Forkcasted "Lovely Allen" has nothing to do with Lily Allen, at least as far as we know. "Milkshake" is instead another percolating, propulsive slab of electronics-tinged instrumental rock, this time drawn from the Toronto-based band's forthcoming album LP. A decade ago we would have probably called this stuff post-rock, but Holy Fuck inhabit the fun-loving, Trans Am branch of the tree, rather than aiming for something moody or technically tricky. The animated video by band pal Chad Van Gaalen is a constantly shifting trip through surreal scenes filled with odd juxtapositions: A raccoon swimming underwater pulls a cheeseburger from the mouth of a shellfish, and then things start to get weird. A few seconds here may not be safe for work, depending on how your boss feels about cartoon scenes of nude women giving birth. He's probably not too crazy about you listening to a band called Holy Fuck, for that matter.
