Video: Stars: "The Night Starts Here"
For the latest video from In Our Bedroom After the War, Stars stay in the living room. In picture frames in someone's living room, to be more specific. The Jonathan Vardi-directed clip for "The Night Starts Here" imagines what would happen if we could bring photographs to life. A man is getting dressed, ready to leave the room, while a woman stays seated in a plush chair. As Stars' swooning chorus repeats again and again, reminding us that "here" and "fears" still kinda rhyme, the woman picks up another picture frame... and a dude comes out. The two make out intensely, giving us all the telltale signs of cinematic sex: legs curling, fingers clawing at fabric. And then the night ends where it started. Which, so they say, is here.
