Brooklyn noise-rock impresarios Black Dice recently sat with BBC's Collective to play a few songs and discuss their idiosyncratic musical approach. "The way that we've always done stuff is we've just sort of fumbled through it," the band's Bjorn Copeland explains. "It's usually, like, using one thing in this repetitive way until it starts to take on a different characteristic." The live performances, all taken from new album Load Blown, give a picture of how all those electronic bleeps and squiggles or chunks of metallic guitar noise actually get made. Don't worry, there's nothing in these sausages to make you squeamish (unless you already were). You can read more about the session and watch the full interview over at the BBC Collective's article page.
