Video: Robyn: "Be Mine (Ocelot Mthrfckers Remix)"

Swedish singer and songwriter Robyn has been telling us "Be Mine" for almost three years now, and her heartstrings-tugging fluxpop melodrama still keeps making us miss her, that's all. She says "Be Mine" again today with the single's UK release, and she'll soon be giving U.S. fans the words in person on her upcoming tour. Stateside versions of her Rakamonie EP and fantastic 2005 self-titled album should also be on the way this year. From the UK single and worldwide download-only remix package, the trancey remix of "Be Mine" by Texas/UK duo Ocelot makes a bass-heavy, echoing, strobe-synthed floor-filler out of a song that sounds just as good on only piano-- an excellent remix akin to a more epic version of Australian artist Muscles' Sly Hats revamp.

For the video, Ocelot use images by Austin-based commercial production company Action Figure to create a similarly trancey feel. We see a bunch of different people's faces in succession, each blowing bubbles or streamers or maybe smoking a cigarette, each against a black background. And then we see them each get gob-smacked. Like Robyn when her boy bent down to tie ol' what's-her-name's laces.
