Pitchfork

Another fan video combining a song with unrelated images. In this case, they're sorta related, or at least they share a word. Here we have Black Mountain's bloozey boy-girl ballad "Angels", from the forthcoming album In the Future, combined with edited footage from Wim Wenders' 1987 masterpiece Wings of Desire. To my shame, I haven't seen the film, but, with the song serving as an accompaniment, the stirring images of the angel gazing at the street from atop a skyscraper seem to survive with poignancy intact.
