On the eve of their short East Coast tour, Raleigh indie-poppers the Rosebuds have put together a cover of Salt-N-Pepa's ubiquitous club anthem "Push It". Or did the dog do it? That's the premise of this, frankly, completely fucking adorable video, which shows Ivan Howard and Kelly Crisp heading out for the day and commanding their canine Jasmine to "record us a hit song," noting that "covers are in this year, you should make it a cover song." Covers are in-- now there is an understatement. Well, Jasmine does a pretty nice job with it. You're not going to be selling your Salt-N-Pepa's CDs (hell, you'll still want to hear "Shoop", "Whatta Man", and, especially, "None of Your Business", anyway), but it's an affectionate and surprisingly faithful take on the tune.
