Video: Our Brother the Native: "Younger"
As heard on their 2006 album Tooth & Claw, the vaguely unsettling electro-acoustic noise these teenagers make isn't particularly easy to distinguish. Which is to say, I admire the spirit of these kids-- making a weird racket together before out of high school, then getting signed to a notable experimental label-- more than I admire their music. But this video, for a track from their new album, is pretty sweet. Incorporating footage from a bizarre and otherworldly bicycle safety film from 1963, they make a "Creepy video involving masks and bikes" piece to rival the best of them. The original is certainly worth your time as well.
