Never mix business with busyness. Busyness, however, should be mixed thoroughly with a ton of local guest stars. The Roots are joined by fellow Philadelphians Dice Raw, Peedi Crakk, and-- holy shit-- DJ Jazzy Jeff in the Rik Cordero-directed video for "Get Busy", which finds them all performing in, like, a scary-movie version of Office Space. ?uestlove looks particularly entranced by the corporate-drone life, staring hilariously vacantly as he robotically pounds the drums. A delivery guy shows up with lunch. A blaring bass line is the centerpoint, with some insect-like synths, Jazzy Jeff's scratches, and that ?uestlove beat. There's "W.E.B. Dubois meets Heavy D & the Boyz." And yeah, "fuck the internet," man. When's the last time it did anything good for us? (via Nah Right)
