Pitchfork

Even by the high standards of La Blogothèque's "Take Away Show", this is a good one. It's the right band (Brooklyn's Yeasayer, an athemic-minded outfit meant for sing-alongs) and the right setting (first a crowded metro, where the band cradles beers as they serenade the commuters, then an intimate gathering in an apartment), all coming together just so. The refreshingly honest story of the shoot-- Chryde wasn't sure how much he liked the band, and I share his reservations, but it doesn't much matter-- is on the blog. C'est magnifique.
