Video: Be Your Own Pet: "The Kelly Affair"

We talked about this track when it was posted to MySpace a few weeks ago, noting, "Don't expect many pimples or cracked voices on the Beyond the Valley of the Dolls-referencing 'The Kelly Affair', one of four new songs the Thurston Moore-touted twentysomethings have posted on their MySpace. Instead we get the stuff that's been associated with youthful abandon and transgression for decades: sex, drugs, and back-to-basics punk rawk." The video (sorry about the small size, we'll try and switch it later) is half dumb fun, with the band performing the song in costume at a raucous house party, and half Edgar Allen Poe-style macabre, as unspeakable things go on in the basement. I guess it really is dangerous living in that valley-- did the original Kelly Affair have these problems?
