April has spawned a monster. Only it's not one of the "gila" variety. Rather, a plastic-headed bear of some kind, the kind of thing that likes to set up camp in young kids' closets, makes an appearance in this new video from Baltimore's masters of mood, Beach House. The terrifically gothic clip, with its strobe lights flashing on Victoria Legrand's deathly serious face and Alex Scally's mouthful of blood, mirrors the slithering creepiness of the Devotion track perfectly. Somewhere in here, I imagine, is the candy-colored clown they call the sandman.
