New Music: The Twilight Sad: "Here, It Never Snowed. Afterwards It Did" [Stream]

A new song has appeared on the Twilight Sad MySpace, and it shares a title with a track from their 2007 full-length Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters. Well, half a title, anyway. On Fourteen Autumns was a song called "Talking With Fireworks/Here, It Never Snowed", while this track is called "Here, It Never Snowed. Afterwards It Did". A sequel? No idea, but this new song sounds pretty good after a couple of listens. No crushing walls of distortion here-- in fact this song is generally pretty muted and low key, driven by organ and glockenspiel. But singer James Graham is still shredding his vocal chords like he's not worried about being able to talk tomorrow. No definitive information yet about where this song will be released, though the Angry Ape site reports that it'll be the title track of a forthcoming mini-album featuring re-workings of songs from the debut as well as a Daniel Johnston cover. Big thanks to Scott Sand for the tip.
