P4K Fest Update: Saturday Tix Gone, Sets to Stream Live

As we enter the home stretch leading up to the 2008 Pitchfork Music Festival, details continue to surface. The first order of business: Single-day passes for Saturday, July 19, have sold out.

That leaves single-day passes for Friday and Sunday as the only available ticket options. But just look at the folks playing those days: Public Enemy! Spiritualized! Spoon! Mission of Burma! Dinosaur Jr.! Les Savy Fav! Bon Iver! Ghostface and Raekwon! Sebadoh! M. Ward! Boris! Do it! (That last exclamation isn't a band, just an exhortation to get those tickets while you can. Though "Do It" is actually a pretty great band name, come to think of it.)

The other new tidbit about this year's Pitchfork Festival is that a majority of the sets will be webcast live! All you need is Adobe Flash Player 9 and a web browser directed to this address: www.pitchforkmusicfestival.com/player.php.

The webcast will start with Mission of Burma's performance of Vs. in its entirety at 6 p.m. CDT on Friday, July 18. Until then, footage from the 2006 and 2007 editions of the festival is streaming at the aforementioned address.
