Bottom Of The Hudson Touring with Wrens, Constantines, Vanderslice

Four out of five NYC piranhas love 'em

Credit where credit is due: the Hudson River, which commences in the Adirondack Mountains of northeast New York and flows southward into the Upper New York Bay, was not actually discovered by its namesake, Henry Hudson, who explored and slapped his name on it during his voyage of 1609. Giovanni da Verrazano first sighted it in 1524. The band named for the river (or for its murky bottom and the secret relics immured there), however, can be accused of no such chicanery: Bottom of the Hudson's sound is happily their own; a unique blend of sonic collage, acoustic strum and treacly yet perverse singing (their Absolutely Kosher debut, The Omaha Record, included, among other weirdo ephemera, what is perhaps the loveliest ode to someone having a seizure ever committed to tape).

Absolutely Kosher has announced that Bottom of the Hudson will be sharing a number of well-rounded bills with The Wrens, The Constantines, John Vanderslice and others throughout March. The dates are as follows:
