Shins to Kick Off U.S. Tour Tomorrow Night

Unfortunately, there's not much in the way of solid LP-recording news when it comes to the Shins. On the plus side, the New Mexican-bred indie pop wonders will begin yet another tour in quasi-support of Chutes Too Narrow tomorrow. Look at this way: The sooner they plow through these dates, the sooner they can sit down and write some more tunes. Presumably. New Zealand's the Brunettes have the honor of hanging out with the Shins on this jaunt and playing the opening set each night, and Talib Kweli will even hook up with the band at Brown University's Meehan Auditorium on April 21.
