Spoon are set to begin their North American tour in support of Gimme Fiction in Baton Rouge tonight. The tour will cover both coasts and a number of cities in between before it wraps up at the end of June. Support on the majority of the tour will be Merge label-mates the Clientele, but Sally Crewe & the Sudden Moves will make a few appearances along the way.

In other news, Spoon have just been announced as a main act for the Siren Festival in New York in July. Also, they have been added to the Lollapalooza bill, somewhere between G. Love & Special Sauce and Blonde Redhead.
