Pitchfork: The Wrens Plan US/UK Tour, New Single

Old news is an oxymoron, but we're giving it to you anyway. On Monday, we reported that the Wrens, along with Okkervil River, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Harvey Danger, and more, will perform at Neumos in Seattle this weekend, as part of KEXP's third annual Yule Benefit fundraising event. Quick reminder: proceeds help the radio station maintain its independent, commercial free status.

Now, on to the new news. The Wrens have added a seemingly random string of tour dates to their itinerary, stretching from January (New York, Evanston, Illinois) to March (the UK). How worldly! Because they're older than us, we trust that the Wrens know what they're doing.
