The Pipettes Reveal Debut Album Details
Sorry about that. It's just that we've fallen in love. With the Pipettes, three adorable British lasses in polka-dot dresses singing about kissing and dancing and other, slightly more naughty, activities. They're the best thing to come out of the current girl group revival, and we can't stop raving about them.
At last, Gwenno, Rose, and Becki are returning our affections, sort of. On July 17, Memphis Industries will release the group's debut album, We Are the Pipettes, in the UK. It's due out August 14 in Germany, France, and Scandinavia; alas, no American release is planned just yet. The LP contains such gems as "Dirty Mind", "Your Kisses Are Wasted on Me", and my favorite song of the year so far, "Pull Shapes".
