Calexico, Gelb, Scout Niblett on Katrina Comp

Tucson, Arizona's Wavelab Studio and Funzalo Records have partnered to release a new compilation benefiting Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Titled Graciously and out on July 11, and features new, unreleased tracks from artists who have recorded at Wavelab, including Calexico, Robyn Hitchcock, and Howe Gelb with Scout Niblett.

One-third of net proceeds from album sales will go to Habitat for Humanity's Musicians Village Project, an effort started by Harry Connick Jr. and Branford Marsalis to build homes for displaced New Orleans musicians in the Upper Ninth Ward.

Following the completion of the Musicians Village Project, one-third of net proceeds from Graciously will be directly donated to Habitat for Humanity.
