Raconteurs to "Host" MTV Awards
Part of being in an indie supergroup is doing things big. Playing the Vegoose Festival, grabbing Paul Reubens for a guest spot in a video, hosting awards shows, tacking on more dates to an already sprawling worldwide tour...it's all part of the job.
Jack White's Raconteurs will act as "musical hosts" on the MTV Music Video Awards on August 31, "performing at various times throughout the show" according to a press release.
The boys have also added a slew of October UK performances to their calendar, which is for the most part booked from now until their pre-Halloween Las Vegoose stint. It's only a matter of time before White, Brendan Benson, and those other two dudes crowd surf across an audience in a big clear ball through hoops of fire or something.
