CYHSY, Architecture in Helsinki, Takka Takka Prep EP
Attendees of the Clap Your Hands Say Yeah / Architecture in Helsinki / Takka Takka tour this fall will be able to take home more than memories, ringing eardrums, and cameraphone pix from the indie pop extravaganza. All three bands have contributed live tracks to an EP that will be on sale exclusively at the shows. Only 1500 copies have been pressed, so exactly 100 will be available at each gig. Better get to the merch table early, kid.
The Clap Your Hands tracks were recorded on April 15, 2006 at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City, the Architecture tracks are from a November 3, 2005 gig at the Brudnell Social Club in Leeds, England ("Feather in a Baseball Cap") and a May 3, 2006 session "in a motel room in Brossels, Belgium ("It's 5!"), respectively, while Takka Takka's contribution was recorded just a couple weeks ago, August 11, at the Mercury Lounge in NYC.
