Junior Boys Announce Video Contest
Junior Boys are ending their big year by jumping on the social networking bandwagon. The Canadian duo have joined forces with imeem to sponsor the "So This Is Goodbye" Video Contest.
The contest allows fans to compete for $1000 in cash and prizes by "using live footage and music videos as well as license-free clips to create new music videos for the Junior Boys' new album." Domino Records will provide footage of "full-length songs [and] behind-the-scenes and crowd shots" from the group's set tonight at the Domino Records Holiday Party at Brooklyn's Studio B for contestants to use in their videos.
According to the imeem site, "some of the best work will be shown at Junior Boys live shows," but all videos must be uploaded by the March 1 deadline. In the meantime, there are plenty of videos and mp3s already available on the site, and Domino also has a Junior Boys interview podcast available for download.
Also, if you go to http://www.sothisisgoodbye.com/ and say goodbye to something (and give them your email address), you'll get a free mp3 of the title track from the latest Junior Boys album.
In addition to their set tonight in Brooklyn, Junior Boys have two shows in Seattle scheduled for December 9 and 10 as part of KEXP's Yule Festival.
Dates:
12-07 Brooklyn, NY - Studio B (Domino Records Holiday Party)
12-09 Seattle, WA - Neumos (KEXP Yule Festival)
12-10 Seattle, WA - Neumos (KEXP Yule Festival)
