Exclusive: Caribou Signs to Merge
Reveals album details; Junior Boy Jeremy Greenspan guests
Caribooou, Caribooooooooou. That's right, my little pixies: Dan Snaith, aka Caribou, fka Manitoba, gets back in the saddle this summer with the August 21 release of Andorra.Snaith's second album under the Caribou moniker and fourth overall, Andorra follows up 2005's The Milk of Human Kindness and comes courtesy of the good people at Merge Records (in North America) and City Slang (in Europe).
Presumably named after the tiny European nation sandwiched between France and Spain, Andorra features a big smattering of Snaith, who wrote, produced, and played every single instrument on the damn thing. The lone exception is the track "She's the One", co-written by and featuring guest vocals from Jeremy Greenspan of one-time Caribou tourmates Junior Boys.
Expect Caribou to migrate across the land-- with a full band in tow-- beginning in late September. For now, catch him DJing before Four Tet's set at the Farnham Maltings in Farnham, England, April 19.
