Wolf Parade Announce Tour Dates

Wolf Parade Announce Tour Dates Sick and tired of Patrick Wolf getting all the attention around here these days, our favorite lupine Canadian supergroup Wolf Parade is coming out of hibernation for the summer. They have scheduled a string of dates in the U.S. and Canada in August, and recently signed on to participate in the roving Download Festival. (Not sure exactly which of those Download dates they're playing, though.)

Hopefully, this activity will surround the release of a new Wolf Parade album. As Dan Boeckner told us in March, the band has been working on their sophomore disc and hope to have it completed this month.

Of course, as usual, the Wolf Paraders are never content to merely be members of just one band. Boeckner's Handsome Furs will deliver their debut, Plague Park, May 22 on Sub Pop, and they're on tour this month. The debut album from Dante DeCaro's Johnny and the Moon project, which came out in Canada last fall on Kill Devil Hills, has found U.S. distribution and will be available here soon. And Spencer Krug's Sunset Rubdown, just off a tour with Xiu Xiu, have a single show scheduled in Ottawa on June 28 as part of the Capital Idea! fest.
