Fujiya & Miyagi's New Single? "Uh"...
"Uh", a single out July 2 in the UK on Regal, is the first new gasp we've heard from breathless electronic-pop up-and-comers Fuyija & Miyagi since the release of Transparent Things last year. "Uh", we're told, is about "space and time, the alphabet, and girls," which, when spoken aloud, we assume was said by a Dorito-stained mouth, followed by the word "dude" and some giggling.
"Uh" is backed with "One Trick Pony", which F&M are so totally not. The "Uh" single will be available for download and in the 7" vinyl format. CDs are, like, sooo big-beat era.
Of course, Fujiya & Miyagi will unpack their many tricks on the road this summer, including a stop at the Pitchfork Music Festival, popping off July 14 along with everybody you've ever wanted to see live but didn't feel like paying more than $50 for. Well, maybe you'd pay more, but we won't make you.
